Hanna Yankuta

Hanna Yankuta is a Belarusian writer, translator, and theorist of literature. She is the author of the poetry project “Geology”/”Constitution” (2022), five children’s books including the series about the cat Šprot and the novel „Martha And Her Dream Of Snow“, and numerous articles and essays on literature and feminism.

Hanna Yankuta is a Belarusian writer, translator, and theorist of literature. She is the author of the poetry project “Geology”/”Constitution” (2022), five children’s books (including the series about the cat Šprot and the novel „Martha And Her Dream Of Snow“), and numerous articles and essays on literature and feminism. Translates from English and Polish; translated into Belarusian the novels: J. Austen’s „Pride And Prejudice“, K. Ishiguro’s „Never Let Me Go“, S. Rooney’s „Normal People“, and others. She translates for the poetry series „Poets Of The Planet“ (M. Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska, B. Leśmian, K. K. Baczyński, J. Keats, E. Poe, and others). Laureate of the „Debut“ award named after Maksim Bahdanovič (2013). Participated twice in the scholarship program of the Polish Minister of Culture „Gaude Polonia“ (2012, 2021).
