Elina Sventsytska – poet, writer, literature expert.
Author of 8 books, published by Donetsk, Kyiv and Lviv publishing houses.
Resident of Donetsk, Ukraine until 2014. Later moved to Kyiv due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Now, in 2022, was forced to move again, leaving for the second time the (new) home and the hardly gained stability.
Writes the poetry in Ukrainian language and the prose in Russian.
Poems and prose have been published by national and international magazines and newspapers, such us “Kreshchatik” Kyiv; “Collegium” Kyiv; “Literary Ukraine” Kyiv; “Sho” Kyiv, “New World” Canada, “Gostinnaya” USA, “Continent” USA and others.
Awards winner of various international and national literary contests and festivals. She has received numerous prizes, including the first national ‚Planet of the Poet‘ prize (Ukraine), the first prize of the Ukrainian Library (Philadelphia, USA) and the national prize of M. Vološin (Ukraine), as well as the third prize of the international short prose competition ‚Without Borders‘ (Barcelona, Spain).
