Ludmila Simanionak

Ludmila Simanionak was born on February 19th, 1975 in Obal, the Shumilina District. Raised in the town of Pastavy.
Ludmila graduated from the Department of the Belarusian Language and Literature of Viciebsk State University. She worked as a teacher of the Belarusian language at the Luzasniany Gymnasium for able and talented children, a methodologist of the Department of Belarusian Studies and Local History of the Viciebsk Regional Association for the organizing of extracurricular work with children and teenagers. Until January 2023 – head of the literary and dramatic department of the Belarusian Theater „Lalka“.
Author of three collections of poetry. Works were published in newspapers and magazines, almanacs and collective collections.
Ludmila translated works for children and adults into Belarusian (N. Gogol, A. Chekhov, P. Panchev, L. Ralchev, L. Panteleyev, M. Bartenev, D. Balyka, etc.). In 2010-2023, she created poetic scenarios and song lyrics for performances, entertainment programs and other events of the Belarusian Theater „Lalka“.
Member of the Union of Belarusan Writers (since 2006).
Lives in Viciebsk.
